Fees

Proposed rates are based on:

• Type of index (name and/or subject index; back-of-book or embedded index)
• Density of text (i.e., required number of entries)
• Subject matter complexity
• Inclusion of foot- or endnotes with new and significant information
• Empty pages, pages with full-page illustrations (unless extensive caption) or tables will not be counted
• Per 1,000 word charges will be based on a word count by Word or PDF of indexable pages
• On representative sample pages to determine the above factors
• Rush services to be negotiated

After collecting the relevant information, I’ll be happy to provide an estimate.

Cancellation by the client within 3 days of agreed start date may result in “kill fee” up to 25% of project fee or payment of work performed by cancellation date.
